Ballymena Chamber Orchestra (BCO) is a charitable organisation that exists to promote classical music through concerts, festivals, schools programmes and workshops.​ It consists of musicians from the Ballymena area and across Northern Ireland: professional musicians, teachers and advanced students. BCO was founded in 2006 by artistic director Rebekah Durston, BMus (Hons), PgDip RCM, an experienced and dedicated violinist and tutor, and is supported by a voluntary committee which oversees all aspects of orchestra life and development.

The orchestra has an educational, intergenerational and cross-community focus and gave its debut 'Concert by Candlelight' in St. Patrick's Church of Ireland as part of Ballymena Arts Festival in October 2006.
